Jonathan Cappelli is an experienced urban planning, real estate, and community development professional focused on finding ways to bring equitable and sustainable development to communities across Colorado.
Prior to founding Cappelli Consulting, Jonathan worked at the Urban Land Conservancy (ULC) helping lead real estate acquisition/redevelopment projects, building community capacity and engagement in the Westwood Neighborhood of Denver, CO, and coordinating various national and regional housing policy initiatives. Before ULC, Jonathan worked in GIS at the Clear Creek County Planning Department, researched sustainable agriculture at international development firm ACDI/VOCA, and coordinated logistics for the Aspen Institute’s public programs.
Jonathan holds a master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Colorado and a bachelor’s degree in political and environmental science from St. Olaf College. He serves on the Boards of Denver Retail Incubator DRI Goods, All-In Denver, Mile High Connects, and the Urban Land Institute Affordable Housing Committee.
Mary Coddington is a student in the UC Denver Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning program and is driven to work for equity and socially just outcomes in all aspects of planning.
Prior to beginning her studies in planning, Mary worked as a corporate facilitator and curriculum developer through which she honed her skills crafting powerful narratives that engage and empower the groups she works with. These skills continue to be an asset in the planning field.
Mary cares deeply for community and building strong human networks that work to elevate people and create opportunities for people to thrive.
